My Social Sciences

This term we are learning about  social sciences, may are asking was is social sciences is?

Social Sciences teaches us about how societies work and how people affect and participate in our nation       ( NZ) and our world. History is a part of Social Sciences as it talks about what happened to people in the past. 

We had to make a copy of this slide and write all of them and put some stuffs in them they are a little bit hard some are easy and some are not.

In this slide we have to fill all of them up with some words and some images, some of the words are interesting to me and I didn't know some words are so impressive.

Can you fix the Surface Features

Good morning amazing readers,

We learning how to fix surface features. You might be asking what is a surface feature? Surface features is a little bits in your writing  like spelling, repeated words, adding full stops and punctuation. 

We had to fix some of the repeated the word in our writing. We need to use surfaces features  because it makes our sentences easier for other people to read.We also had to fix are if we had to much writing.

We made our own copy of this document and had to read what we had to do for the document. We go to the room 9 site our teacher Mrs T had made a link for our writing to make a copy of this document and had to read what we had to do next.

Then  we had to high light all of the repeated words and change them to something else. It sound better if its not the same word all over again. We  had to change the word /"he because it has been repeated to many times.

Yesterday we read through it together at the same time and added some paragraphs. We got some people at the front to read our loud at people are Xavier, Rinaz and Sean

This is not my story it is someone else is story it was one of Miss D's old student we didn't know where she get that or she just made it up.

This is the writing we had to fix.

He kept absolutely still as the footsteps got louder he tried not to suffocate as he laid under the bed he was wondering what had happened to his brother and his family. The man with the knife in his hand stormed around the house. Mums had boyfriends before but we had not thought that they would ever find us maybe he was one of them looking for revenge but why would he come. mum would just move and how did he find us we live on the other side of the planet from where all of mums boyfriends were so how could he find us he might have put a tracker on mum when he last saw her or on one of the devises ‘Hello where are you I know your here you're going to tell me where you're mother is or you shall join your father... in the skies so which will it be death or freedom you have 10 seconds chose wisely’.

Here is what I fixed.

He has been repeated the most.

He is your main character.

I have to change some of the he's.

Filipino Language week

 Kamusta mga mambabasa,

Ngayong linggo ay ang  Filipino Language Week. Kami nila Jared, Steffi, Brendaline at Marcus ay pupunta sa bawat klase para magturo ng mga salitang Tagalog. Ang mga salitang ituturo naminay tungkol sa mga bagay at taong nakikita sa paaralan.

Ito ang mga salita:

Gu-ro  (Teacher)  La-pis  (Pencil)  Ak-lat (Book) La-me-sa (Table)  Sil-ya (Chair).

Ito ang larawan natin namin ni Jade. Sya ay kalahating Filipino at kalahating Maori pero hindi  sya marunong masyadong magsalita ng Filipino.

Hello readers,

This week is Filipino Language Week. Jared, Steffi, Brendaline and Marcus and I would go to each class to teach Tagalog words. Words we teach about things and people we see at school. These are the words: gu-ro (teacher), la-pis (pencil), ak-lat (book), la-me-sa (table), sil-ya (chair). 

This is a picture of Jade and me. She is half Filipino and half Maori but she does not speak Filipino very well.

My Language Feature Term 3

Today I am going to post my Language Feature Term 3. We have to get are own characters we only can pick 2 characters I pick myself and my friend jade, that we never seen each other for 10 years because we are learning about Dialogue.

Here is what I have done today.

In your Language Feature Document create a conversation between two characters. Your readers should be able to tell who is talking. Leave a line for each different character.

    “Hi how are you today.”

    “I’m good thank you”

    “Oh my, hi I never seen you for years old friend!”

    “ Oh my gosh, hi I miss you, it has been 10 years since I last saw you!”

    “We should eat something from McDonald'sand talk about what we did for all the past years.”

    “OK, let’s go!”

    “What do you want?”

    “Ice cream, French fries and one Burger”

    “Ok”

    “Can I have two mcflurry ice creams, two big pack of french fries and, one burger pls”

    “How much is it?”

    Thought in mind “Ok”

    The food has been made

    “Thank you!”

    “So what have you been doing in the past years?”

    “I went to Australia and walk there for 7 hours, it what so hot there, then I went to a  restaurant, and eat some food, the food what delicious”

    “I stayed there for 5 years then I went back here”

    “What about you?”

    “I was living in apartment with my cat lulu, the apartment was really big, but I enjoy the view from up there”

    “I have been living there for 6 years then came back here”
