Perimeter and Area

Kia ora readers.

Today I am going to tell you about Perimeter and Area. Perimeter is the outside and Area is the inside. Like a box has 4 cm on the side and 2 cm are on the bottom. So we put the 4 cm on the other side and put the 2 cm on the top.
2+ 2 = 4
4 + 4 = 8
8 + 4 = 12

Kidnapped You!

This term we are working on creating a strong narrative. It has to believable and descriptive.

Yesterday, we were learning to show not tell. We looked for all our action words to show them. Then We changed the weak action word to strong action words.

This is how we did it.

Here is a weak action word sentence.

This is sentence we changed: Al gave Miss D coffee.
Al kindly rewarded Miss D with a delicious, hot cappuccino.

Here is a picture of the cappuccino.

Making a strong narrative

Kia ora readers,

Today I will be showing what we have been doing in Term 2. This week we have been learning how to write a strong narrative. A strong narrative is believable, descriptive and consistent. I can describe the setting and  the characters.

Today we did Sick Sentences. We changed boring sentences into strong descriptive sentences.

Here is the one of my boring sentences:
Anna sat down.
Anna touched the mirror.
The glass moved.

We have also been writing a story this week about a girl called Anna here is a image of her.


Some of us started a story and would love to share it to you.
