Today I will be telling you about Rainbow paper we did in science class. This is where we all separate the colours from the mixture using a liquid. I've seen this before but let's try it anyways. We can work by ourself or with someone.
Here is the what we have to write.
Aim: To separate colours by using of chromatography
Definition: Chromatography is a method of separating out materials from a mixture using a liquid.
Materials:
1. Boiling tube
2. Marker
3. Water
4. Special Paper
5. Scissors
6. Test Tube Stand
7. Ruler
8. Pencil
Process:
Step 1: Cut up the filter paper in strips to write on the felt pens.
Step 2: Rule a line 1 crn from the bottom of the paper strip.
Step 3: Put about 8 ml of water into the bottom of the boiling tube.
Step 4: Put two coloured pen dots on the pencil line.
Step 5: Drop the paper strip into the boiling tube and once it touching the water at the bottom you can crease the top of the paper over.
Step 6: Watch, take 2 photos and observe.
