Proving my thinking 6

Kia ora readers,

Today I am going to share you my Proving my thinking. Here is my presentation.

The school library is moving and they can fit 56 books into each
box. How many boxes would you need to pack 7,892 books?

I think the answer is 141 boxes because I know my divisions.
7,892 divided by 56 = 140.92857

I also know the answer is 141 because I know my multiplication,
subtraction and addition.
140 x 56 = 7,840

7,892 - 7,840 = 52 extra books that can fit in a box.

140 boxes + 1 box = 141 boxes

Thank you for reading my blog post. Please leave a comment. You may have different way to solved it. Have a great day.
